KAZA Visa Requirements

The KAZA UNI-VISA is a joint visa allowing 30 days of travel between Zambia and Zimbabwe, including day trips to Botswana, for 48 eligible nationalities. It permits multiple border crossings between both countries without needing a new visa and is available on arrival at major airports and land borders. The KAZA UNI-VISA costs $50.

  • Cost:USD $50 (payable in cash at the border or online).
  • Validity:30 days (multiple entries between Zambia and Zimbabwe).
  • Validity Constraint:If you overnight in Botswana, the visa becomes invalid.
  • How to Apply:Available on arrival at major borders or in advance via the evisa.gov.zw.

Eligible Ports of Entry

The following are the ONLY designated ports of entry for KAZA UNI-VISA and can be purchased upon arrival;

  • Zimbabwe:Harare International Airport, Victoria Falls International Airport, Kazungula Border Post, Victoria Falls Border Post.
  • Zambia:Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (Lusaka), Harry Mwaanga International Airport (Livingstone), Victoria Falls Border Post, Kazungula Border Post.

Visa Conditions

  • Validity Period:The visa is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • Day Trips to Botswana:You can visit Botswana for a day trip using this visa, but if you spend the night there, you must purchase a new visa to re-enter Zambia or Zimbabwe.
  • Payment:While you can pay on arrival, it is advisable to have US$50 in cash readily available.
  • Validity Limitation:The KAZA visa cannot be extended; you must purchase a new one if it expires.
