PREAMBLE
The Department of Immigration Zimbabwe administers the Immigration Act chapter 4:02 on behalf of the Minister with a mandate to :
- Facilitate entry and exit of travellers;
- Issuing permits which accord status to immigrants;
- Contributing to refugee identification and status determination
- List ItemIdentifying and removing illegal immigrants; and
- Facilitation of Investment and
- Admission of persons with critical skills.
The Client Service Charter was developed in a bid to respond to the needs of the clients and to provide efficient service with the stipulated timelines and guidelines.

Gender Based Violence Call Centre
The Department of Immigration launched a Gender Based Violence call centre in partnership with UNDP which seeks to:
End violence against migrants crossing borders
Protect women and children on the move
Ensure safe migration
Handle migration issues
