SCHOLARS PERMIT REQUIREMENTS

• Residence permit application  form (I.F.5) fully completed
• Application letter addressed to the Chief Director of Immigration (CDI)
• Letter of acceptance from school
• Clearance letter from the Ministry of Education 
• Certified passport bio data page
• 2 passport sized photos certified as a true likeness of the applicant
• Proof of payment of fees in foreign currency
• Proof of accommodation 
• Affidavit from local guardian accepting custody of the child during the period of study
• Radiological certificate
• Statutory non-refundable fee of US $100

SCHOLARS (EXTENSION )

• Application letter addressed to CDI requesting for extension
• Copy of current permit
• Letter from School indicating continuity of studies 
• Statutory non-refundable fee of US $100

TAKE NOTE

1. Copies of all documents should be sufficiently authenticated; those from outside Zimbabwe should be notarized in the prescribed manner whilst those from Zimbabwe should be certified by a Commissioner of Oaths .
2. All translations should be in English and all copies of the original to be tendered.

STUDENTS PERMIT REQUIRMENTS

• Letter from college or university
• Copy of previous team/semester results
• Copy of current permit
• Letter from college / university indicating continuity of studies 
• Statutory non-refundable fee of US $200 and US $300/dependent.

TAKE NOTE:

1. Copies of all documents should be sufficiently authenticated; those from outside Zimbabwe should be notarized in the prescribed manner whilst those from Zimbabwe should be certified by a Commissioner of Oaths .
2. All translations should be in English and all copies of the original to be tendered 
3. If a student is accompanied by dependents, the following should be submitted:

• Marriage certificate (if  applicable)
• Birth Certificate for all children 
• Police clearence for those above 18 years 
• Passport biodata
• 2 passport sized photos /dependent

INVESTOR RESIDENCE PERMIT REQUIRMENTS  (INITIAL)

• Project proposal
• Police clearance from country of origin/ last permanent residence not older than six months 
• Radiological certificate 
• Banking history from country of origin /last permanent residence 
• Proof of funds available for transfer
• Proof of equipment to be imported
• Copies of passport bio data and permit for other foreign stakeholders
• List of expatriate and local employees
• Statutory non-refundable fee of US$500 and US$300/dependent
• Company documents ( CR6, CR12, CR14, ZIA License, ZIMRA tax clearance

INVESTOR RESIDENCE PERMIT EXTENSION 

Temporary Employment Permit Requirements

1. Residence permit application form (I.F.5) fully completed.
2. Temporary Employment application form.
3. Application letter addressed to the Chief Director of Immigration (CDI).
4. Certified passport bio data page.
5. 2 passport sized photos certified as true likeness of applicant.
6. Curriculum Vitae.
7. Contract of employment.
8. Notarized academic and professional certificates.
9. Statutory non-refundable fee of US$500 and US$300/dependent.
10. Radiological certificate.
11. Advertisement in local newspaper.
12. CV for shortlisted candidates including their contact details.
13. CV and qualifications of persons identified to do understudy.
14. Police clearance from country of origin/last permanent residence not older than six months.
15. Company documents (Certificate of Inc, Entity Summary Document, ZIDA Licence, ZIMRA tax clearance).

Temporary Employment Permit Extension

1. Application letter addressed to the CDI requesting for extension.
2. Copy of current permit.
3. CV and qualifications of persons identified to do understudy.
4. Statutory non-refundable fee of US$500 and US$300/dependent.
5. Company documents (Certificate of Inc, Entity Summary Document, ZIDA Licence, ZIMRA tax clearance).

Take Note:

2. Copies of all documents should be sufficiently authenticated; those from outside Zimbabwe should be notarized in the prescribed manner whilst those from Zimbabwe should be certified by a Commissioner of Oaths.

Additional Requirements

1. All translations should be in English and all copies of the original to be tendered.
2. Professionals to be cleared by relevant authorities.
3. Applicants from Non-Governmental Organisations should submit Private Voluntary Organisations Certificate from the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.
4. Government supported projects/projects accorded national project status to submit support letter from line ministry.
5. EMA certificate should be submitted in respect of all projects requiring EMA clearance.
6. Address where applicant is working.
7. All projects remitting minerals to submit proof of remittance.

• If expatriate is accompanied by dependents, the following should be submitted:

• Police clearance for those above 18 years

Spouse Residence Permit Requirements

• Residence permit application form (I.F.S) fully completed.
• Close relative guarantee form to be completed by local spouse.
• Application letter addressed to the Chief Director of Immigration (CDI) from foreign spouse and support letter from local spouse requesting for residence permit.
• Passport bio data page.
• 2 passport sized photos certified as a true likeness of applicant.
• Proof of accommodation and residential status of guarantor.
• Proof of funds by guarantor.
• Copy of marriage certificate.
• Copy of children birth certificate / passports (if applicable).
• Police clearance from country of origin/last permanent residence not older than six months.
• Statutory non-refundable fee of US$500 and US$300/dependent.
• Radiological certificate.

Spouse Residence Permit Extension

1. Application letter addressed to the Chief Director of Immigration (CDI) from foreign spouse and support letter from local spouse requesting for residence permit.
2. Copy of current permit.
3. Statutory non-refundable fee of US$300 and US$300/dependent.

Spouse Residence Permit (Permanent)

1. Application letter addressed to the Chief Director of Immigration (CDI) from foreign spouse and support letter from local spouse requesting for residence permit.
2. Copy of current permit.
3. Statutory non-refundable fee of US$500 and US$300/dependent.
4. Local Police clearance not older than 6 months.
