Temporary Employment Permit Requirements

  1. Residence permit application form (I.F.5) fully completed.
  2. Temporary Employment application form.
  3. Application letter addressed to the Chief Director of Immigration (CDI).
  4. Certified passport bio data page.
  5. 2 passport sized photos certified as true likeness of applicant.
  6. Curriculum Vitae.
  7. Contract of employment.
  8. Notarized academic and professional certificates.
  9. Statutory non-refundable fee of US$500 and US$300/dependent.
  10. Radiological certificate.
  11. Advertisement in local newspaper.
  12. CV for shortlisted candidates including their contact details.
  13. CV and qualifications of persons identified to do understudy.
  14. Police clearance from country of origin/last permanent residence not older than six months.
  15. Company documents (Certificate of Inc, Entity Summary Document, ZIDA Licence, ZIMRA tax clearance).

Temporary Employment Permit Extension

  1. Application letter addressed to the CDI requesting for extension.
  2. Copy of current permit.
  3. CV and qualifications of persons identified to do understudy.
  4. Statutory non-refundable fee of US$500 and US$300/dependent.
  5. Company documents (Certificate of Inc, Entity Summary Document, ZIDA Licence, ZIMRA tax clearance).

Take Note:

  1. Application should be in duplicate.
  2. Copies of all documents should be sufficiently authenticated; those from outside Zimbabwe should be notarized in the prescribed manner whilst those from Zimbabwe should be certified by a Commissioner of Oaths.

Additional Requirements

  1. All translations should be in English and all copies of the original to be tendered.
  2. Professionals to be cleared by relevant authorities.
  3. Applicants from Non-Governmental Organisations should submit Private Voluntary Organisations Certificate from the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.
  4. Government supported projects/projects accorded national project status to submit support letter from line ministry.
  5. EMA certificate should be submitted in respect of all projects requiring EMA clearance.
  6. Address where applicant is working.
  7. All projects remitting minerals to submit proof of remittance.
  • If expatriate is accompanied by dependents, the following should be submitted:
  • Marriage certificate (if applicable)
  • Birth certificate for all children
  • Police clearance for those above 18 years
  • Passport biodata
  • 2 passports sized photos/dependent
